Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The commonest causes are Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) deficiency or bulging disc in the neck spine. In case of B12 deficiency, daily intake of Methylcobalamin 1.5mg for several weeks will relieve you of the symptoms. On the other hand, an MRI of neck spine will reveal the bulged disc compressing over the spine.

The windy feeling is usually due to hyperacidity, or altered sensation at the site mentioned by you due to damage to the nerve which communicates the sensations to the brain.

The treatment would depend on the cause.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order MRI spine (if blood tests are found to be normal and Vitamin B12 deficiency is excluded) and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
