Reason For Spitting Up Yellow Phelgm? Overweight, Eating Balanced Food, No Smoking.
Every morning for a few months, I always spit up some yellow phlegm . I do not smoke , I am a teenager, overweight , but eating better. I do eat junk food often, but balanced with fruit and veggies. I read that this could be the cause of excessive yellow phlegm? Could smelling or brething in a second hand smoke, moldy food, or other thing like that have caused something? The phlegm is never bloody.
As a teenager, if you are spitting up phlegm too much then you need to really consider it seriously. if its been there for a long time, there can be possibilities of inflammation in the respiratory tract, allergy or any malfuntioning. Being a passive smoker might also cause this. Sometimes excessive intake of dairy products can cause phlegm. Also avoid consuming lot of junk and fatty foods as they might increase your weight which in turn might put stress on your respiratory system. The situation needs a treatment and hence would advice you to visit a doc at the earliest.
Good Luck!!!
