Hi I am over 50 My peroids stoped 14months ago I have had the slight spotting at times My periods have never been normal allso pain during intercourse always I have had one overy out cycts had burst 7 Years ago Also abnormal cells in my uterus which was a this when found stage 3 had operation done and ended up with scaring with over half of my uterus. Now 2months ago I had heavy bleeding continuous for 2 weeks Then have found 2 fribroids in my uterus and a cycts on my last overy. Please what can you tell me
I understand that you have only one ovary. I am unable to understand about the abnormal cells in the uterus. I would be happy if you could explain in more details about what they were. Also you did not have period for 14 months and then you had bleeding.
There are the following possibilities considering the above information: 1. Functional ovarian cyst producing hormones and leading to bleeding. 2. Fibroids leading to bleeding 3. endometrial cancer: though rare, as you had abnormal cells, this possibility is always there.
I suggest that you visit a gynecologist and get yourself examined as early as possible. Also take all your reports and get them evaluated. Further management will depend upon the cause.
