Reason For Stomach Pains, Bad Nose Bleeds, Headaches And Nausea In Child

Hi: My 9 y/o daughter has a history of asthma, EE disease and allergies to fish, all nuts and some dairy. She has been complaining of severe stomach pains over the last couple of weeks and just over the last couple of days she has experienced a couple of bad nose bleeds and headaches. She also complains of nausea.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

Besides food allergies, I suggest to consult with her pediatrician for possible gastro-intestinal infection.

With regards to nose bleeding, it might be related to vitamin deficiencies or anemia. I suggest to run complete blood work to rule it out.

Having headaches is related to anemia due to bleeding. Can give her plenty of water, painkiller and let her rest.

Please have another consultation with hematologist-pediatrician for further evaluation of her current health condition.
