Psychiatrist 's  Response
hi.. thanks for writing..i have understood your concerns,,..

mental depression is what you are saying, but it can be something else also..
you havn't described the symptoms, so it will be difficult to say anything..

if it is simple depression due to financial insecurity and widowhood then it can be easily treated with antidepressant medications...but if her issues cant be resolved then depression wont resolve completely..

so, try to arrange some relative to live with her for some duration, meanwhile take her to psychiatrist and let him evaluate her..he will tell the diagnosis and accordingly will prescribe the drugs which can help her..

i hope this will be helpful to you...best of luck...
