Recovered From Urosepsis. Have History Of UTI And Taking Antibiotics. How Long Will It Continue?

I am a 63 year old woman who had urosepsis nearly 2 weeks ago. I have a history of UTI infections and incontinence which was helped by a sling 3 years ago. However the last 6 months has seen me with 3 UTI infections. My BP is good, my weight is 88kg and I am 5ft 6 in in height. I am struggling with low energy levels and fatigue. My course of antibiotics is completed and I wonder how long I should expect to be this way.

Hi and thank you so much for this query

I am so sorry to hear about these repeated UTI. The best course of action now i to determine the reason why you are having repeated UTI. Some factors that may be responsible for this are kidney stones, obstruction, urine retention, etc. When the probable favoring factors are determined and control, you would no longer have these many recurrent infections again. How long it takes depends on how aggressive these are investigated and managed. I will also advice that you always drink as much water as possible to always try and wash out as much germs as possible in the urinary system.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health.
