Recovering From Intestinal Influenza. What Could Be The Reason For Having Black Stool?
I am recovering from intestinal influenza, and I am having black stools that are not loose. I do not know what that is caused by, not yet on a regular diet, just finishing a bottle of pedialyte. drinking tea, sierra mist, water. dr has given me the things not to eat and I've went by that. Where is the black stool coming from and what can I do about it
Hi. Black stool usually indicates some collected blood in the gut.Get one stool for occult blood examination. Also it can be due to oral intake of iron, which probably you must not be taking right now.If test is positive, then see some gastroenterologist, who may advise you further tests to see from where it is coming.Thanks.
