Recurred UTI Preceded By Vaginal Irriation And Inflammation With No Discharge. Prescribed Augmentin. Can D-mannose Be Tried Along?

I have had an ongoing uti for about a month. Was first prescribed Keflex for 10 days. A week after stopping the drug the infection returned. The next prescribed drug was Augmentin - 500 mg. 3x daily for ten days. A week after stopping this the infection returned again. This time it was preceded by a severe vaginal irritation and inflammation with no discharge. I have now been prescribed Augmentin again, this time by my gynecologist whom I consulted because of the vaginal problem. Dosage is now 875 2x daily for 7 days. Will this help now when it failed to do the job before? Have ordered D-mannose by mail; considering trying this along with the antibiotic or as alternative.
