Recurred UTI With Blood In Urine After Taking Amoxiclav. KUB Ultrasound Showed Pelvocaliectasia. Possible Cure For Blockage?
I had a UTI with loaded blood, TNTC PUS cellsdifficult urinating. my doctor advised me to take co-amoxiclav 625mg, which was been properly followed. after a week i took repeat urinalysis and i showed 0-1 PUS cells and 0-1 RBC. after two days, i again, suffered from uti with blood on my urine. i had a KUB ultrasound and impression states pelvocaliectasia. can yhou help me the possible diagnosis of my case.., and if there is a blockage, what are the possible cure..,is it only by surgery or i can take some medication to remove the blockage. thank you very much.
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI and your ultrasound scanning revealed Pelvicalactesia meaning thereby that mouth ofs of the calyces that open in Renal pelvis are narrow and not blocked.
This is congenital anamoly ,There is neither medical nor surgical treatment to dilate the openings. Please ensure that you do not get repeated episodes of UTI by ensuring to drink more water and taking antibiotics when it sounds to have UTI.
