Recurred Pain In Jaw, Feeling Of Jaw Out Of Alignment, Difficulty To Eat After Stopping Steroids For Hives. Suggest

My husband has jaw pain, it feels like is jaw is out of alignment, hard to eat, and lay on side of face. Started in the right side, and now in both sides. Just started last night. Tongue also hurts. H ehad this about 20 days ago along with hives, was put on steroids and jaw pain and misalignment stopped immediately. Now he is done with steroids and jaw problem is back.

From the details provided,i suspect your husband's jaws are dislocated.

A thorough clinical evaluation as well as O P G Ra di og raph will help to rule out the condition underlying.

Jaws has to be immobilized and repositioned.

Inter maxillary fixation has to be done.
