Recurrent Bruising On Legs, Night Sweats, Nausea, Weight Loss. Have Been On Porzac. Medication Side Affects?
Hi, I'm a 22 year old female, 1.6m tall and I weigh 63kg. I recently started taking Prozac and am not sure whether this relates to the symptoms I am having. For a long time now I've experienced bruising all over my legs, they all seem to heal and then reappear at the same time. I therefore either have no bruises or very many at any given time. More recently, I have experienced night sweats and nausea. I have also recently lost 4kg over the past month without really changing my diet. I have seen a doctor about the bruising a while ago and he just said that I probably just bruise easily, but this doesn't make sense to me. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Welcome to HCM,
You have started taking Fluoxetine recently your symptoms,may be related to side effect of this drug if there is no other cause
The GIT side effects like nausea, loss of appetite and weight loss is possible,Bruising is not common but reported in literature and even low platelet count is reported.
Excessive sweating is also possible as effects of this drugs.
You should consult your physician to examine and find out these are not allergic rash or vasculitis.
You should also get your Complete blood count,other test like liver function test may be done and trial of drug free period to see if the symptoms improve you should do so in consultation with your treating physician.
