Recurrent Tingling And Slight Bumps Around Mouth After Using Lysine

Recently I noticed that I was about to have a oral herpes outbreak because of the tingling and slight small bumps around my mouth but i quickly started taking l-lysine and using the l-lysine cold sore ointment. the bumps went away but now it s been a week and they still keep coming back but will go away again once i use the ointment. how do i get this outbreak to completely go away? it started crusting yellow on a part of my lip but with the ointment that went away too.
