Hi. UTI is a very common problem in females due to the anatomy of the female urinary tract. While it is not very common in males. So if you are a female, then i would not worry as much as to why you have it frequently, while if you are a male, then i would advise that you look for any predisposing factors like stones, bladder obstruction, strictures, etc. But irrespective of your gender, fever indicates that there is an upper urinary tract infection, and this can become serious if left untreated. So you need to get evaluated and treated for the same. Underlying diabetes if uncontrolled is also a risk factor for serious UTI and kidney infection. Recurrent upper urinary tract infection could be harmful for the kidney, while if its just a lower UTI its not as worrisome. Hope you understood what I said. Thank you.
