Recurring Hard Painful Swollen Lump In The Vagina. What Is It?

I have a small, hard, painful lump on the outer lip of my vagina. it hurts when i wipe and when i sit in certain positions. this is the 3rd one ive gotten over the past 2 months and they last for about 2 weeks. it hurts really badly and my right side is extremely swollen. also the lump is really hard and not squishy. it isnt white and has no head so i cant pop it. what could this be?

It is possible that it is a bartholin cyst. The bartholin glands are located on each side of the vaginal opening. Sometimes the glands become obstructed resulting in swelling of the gland.
The fluid in the cyst can sometimes become infected.

It is possible that it is recurring because the cyst itself needs to be removed.

You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation.
