Recurring Perirectal Abscess, Pain, Swelling, Drainage. Surgeries Done, Seton Placed. Treatment?

I have a recurring perirectal abscess. I have had six surgeries in two years and a seton was placed a year ago and still not healing there was even a new tract formation so three months ago my doctor removed the old seton and placed a new one. I still get pain and swelling every four to six weeks then I get a drainage and be comfortable for a few weeks until the cycle start again. Will it ever end? Which treatment do you recommend

Hi,
From your history it seems that you are having fistula-in-ano.
There are more chances of recurrence as there are sinuses and each sinus tract is to be opened and cleared.
If all sinuses are not opened and drained, recurrence is there.
Consult your surgeon and discuss the case.
Ok and bye.
