Recurring Pricking Sensation In Inner Thighs, Upper Lip. Herpes Test Negative, Sweating, Red Spots. Suggestions?

Hi I'm having this pin prick feeling in my inner thighs both sides for about 1 yr now. Now I'm having the same feeling on upper lip,it happens in the same spot on inner thighs and on upper lip. My doctor tested me for herpes and it came back negitive. I had the test about 3 months after the first time I felt it. The pricks on my inner thighs happen about every other month and last for about 10 days or so.. I sweat a lot down there and I don't think I'm over weight. 5'2 about 120lbs. I also had a couple of red pin point spots on inner thigh, but not in a cluster kinda spaced out looks like its where my hair follicals are. Any clue what this could be?

Hi,

Welcome & thanks for posting your query to HCM.

Before telling anything regarding your condition, let me reassure you that your condition do not mach up with any type of Sexually transmitted disease.

To tell you regarding herpes- it manifests as multiple fluid filled vesicles at the genital area anywhere around the vaginal orifice and not on thighs. Once these are healing these form ulcers of superficial nature and then scab foramation to heal in nest 5-7 days. So you can probably get that the perception of your do not match up with any herpes or not even to any STD.

To me it appears to be simple hyper sensitization over the hair roots due to sweating only. Some times due to sweating it becomes quite sensitive over the thigh area. The area gets irritated and leads to red pin point spots. As soon as this oversensitivity and the sweating is gone, it leads to normalization of the condition.

For the betterment part follow the instructions below:
1. Two time bath, once morning and then evening.
2. Sponging with simple cold or mild warm water 3-4 times a day.
3. Wearing cotton clothes and cotton undergarments.
4. Staying way from hot and humid environment.
5. No pinching, popping and squeezing of any bump and even no scratching too.
6. You can use antiperspirant powder to reduce sweating.
7. Do not try to shave the hair very closely. During shaving also do it in the direction of the hair.

Hope these information are helpful.

With good health wishes"
