Recurring Pus-filled, Painful Lumps Under The Arms. What Could It Be?

Hi. My sister had these lumps under her arm around 2 months ago. They went away on their own if she didn t bother them or shave. About 2 weeks later my mother had developed the same lumps under her arm, same situation. I myself have just recently gotten the same lumps under my right arm, the first filled with a puss, & I squeezed it out & it went away. Then a few days later I developed another luno, this one bigger & more painful. Both my mother & sisters lumps were also filled with puss & they used a black creamy like medicine that we got from a nutrition store that seems to take them away. Any ideas? A little concerned!

You might have developed furuncles.

These are deep bacterial infections.

Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
