Recurring Severe Headache With Strong Ear Pain, Facial Pain, Tightness In Neck And Shoulders. No Help From Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Zapain. Help

Hello, my name is Nesh, im 26yrs of age and a mother of two,
Daughter is 3yrs old and Son is 5months old. Both delivered by emergency c-section at 31 weeks and 37 weeks.
I writting in this evening because for a bout 2 months now I have been experiencing violent headaches thats start in one place, always different to last and spread all over, from start to finish these headaches on average last betweenv25-45 minutes even after taking paracetamol, im also at the same time experiencing strong ear pain, strong facial pain mainly around the eyes and lower jaw, strong pain and tightness in right side of neck and the back of right should.

I have tried massage, steam inhalation, paracetamol, ibuprofen and have even tried taking zapain 30mg/500mg.
Nothing seems to be helping.
what else can I do?
please help..

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

First of all, we should find out the reasons for your headache and facial pain. In this regard, an MRI of brain along with venogram would be useful.

I presume you are alright in between the painful episodes.

Other medications that are likely to be useful for you are pregabalin (a medication useful in neuropathic pain) and rizatriptan (useful in migraine headaches).
