Recurring Sharp Pain Below Left Rib Cage While Moving The Waist. History Of Starting Of The Same Due To Sneezing. Slight Torn Muscle?
I started to get a very sharp pain below my left rib cage about 2 months ago when I sneezed. It took my breath away due to the severity of the pain. If I stood up and lifted my left arm over my head and stretched this usually alleviated the pain. Now I am having the same pain not only when I sneeze but if I sit or move in an unusual or twist funny at the waist. It seems to be occurring more often. At first I thought it was a slight torn muscle and assumed it would heal in time, but now I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Your history suggests muscular damage. Don’t over use or sprain it by doing repeated action that causes pain. Take analgesic (NSAID) with muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone to relieve from pain. Mean times get done one ECG to rule out any cardiac problem. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr. Lohit
