Recurring Spots In Groups On Bridge Of Nose Turning Into Whiteheads, Red And Shiny Area When Squeezed. Remedy?

Hi, my husband has been getting recurrent spots on the outside of his nose (mainly on the bridge) for over a year now, the spots tend to occur in groups of around 3 and develop very quickly into whiteheads. The pore always appears very open when the spot is squeezed, and the area surrounding the spot very red and shiny. What could be the cause of this and is there any way it can be treated?
