Red Patch On Bottom Of Foot, Itching And Peeling Off After Drying. What Should I Do?

U have a large red patch on the bottom of my foot, it itches and starts with small white dots that itch, when left alone it dries out and becomes scaly, peeling off in large pieces. It has moved around to the side of my foot. What is it, and what should I do?

Hi

Looks like you have developed Tenia pedis which is a fungal infection of the foot.
First of all, you should try and Wear open footwear as much as possible . Sweating can lead to development of such infections over the foot.
Do not apply any oil or creams over the affected area.
You might need treatment with both topical and oral antifungals for the infection.
Sometimes a confirmatory test is also done with scrapings from the lesions.
You should see a nearby dermatologist for the same.
