Reddish And White Bumps On The Fingers. Swollen And Sore Index Finger And Knuckles. What Could This Be?
I have lumps on my fingers which I thought were warts but now they have grown into flat red raised areas. Surrounding the red lumps are small white bumps. Today my index finger is swollen and sore, especially around the central joint, where the knuckle is particularly swollen. The swelling appears appears to follow the tendon into my hand. What could this be?

these may be a part of Osteoarthritis wherein there is the formation of nodules called heberdon nodules over the fingers.
As mentioned , if the swelling moves with the movement of the tendon, it may be inflammatory swelling of the tendon sheath.
I strongly advice an x ray of hand and also serum uric acid levels to be checked for any further management.
