Renal Artery Stent Procedure Done. Given Plavix And Aspirin Which Caused Nausea And Upper Stomach Burning. Side Effects Of Medication?
I had a renal artery stent procedure last week. I felt fine for two days taking Plavix and 325 mg aspirin as prescribed for two days. On the third day I begin to have nausea, burning in upper stomach area and what feels like spasms in my stomach. I stopped taking the aspirin and Plavix and started taking my nexium, bentyl and Zofran previously prescribed by in internal medicine doctor. It has helped a little but after three days and nights, I am not feeling better. I plan to call my cardiologist in the morning, didn t call my primary care doctor because she would only refer me to cardiologist. Do you think this is caused by the Plavix and aspirin?
Hi, Aspirin is one of the leading causes of ulcers and gastritis. So It may be from Aspirin. I suggest continue useing nexium and plavix ( nessesary for your stent). hope you find it helpful ALL the best Dr.klerida
