Renal Tuberculosis, Failed To Put Stent, Cannot Control Urine

i have been diagnosed renal tuberclosis five months back, i am on akt4 since 5months, my urologist tried to put dj stent but the procudure was failure. my hb is 7.3 since the time i have started that akt4. and recently i am having problems with urine i cannot control my urine i pass urine while i am sleeping with out my knowledge.

Thanks for writing in to us.

Tuberculosis of kidney is a disease that can spread to bladder and urethra. In medical literature, TB in bladder can cause significant decrease in bladder volume and that can cause loss of control of urine. Remember that this is due to the fibrosis and reaction of the lining of the urinary tract to TB and not due to active TB bacteria. I suppose that was the reason for not being able to insert the DJ stent. You may seek help of your doctor and take guidance regarding bladder control exercises.
