Report Shows Paracentral Disk Osteophyte Complex Effacing Ventral CSF. Meaning?

What is At C6-7,there is a right paracentral disk osteophyte complex effacing the him ventral CSF and indenting the right aspect of the ventral spinal cord. There is also mass effect on the traversing right C7 nerve root. The spinal canal is mildly narrowed. There is bilateral uncovertebral joint temperatures resulting in mild right and moderate left neural foraminal narrowing

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
All the findings in the description suggests " degenerative changes" in the cervical spine causing compression over the spinal cord as well as the exiting nerve roots.
This usually results in pain in the back of neck, shoulder,arm and forearm along with tingling or numbness in these areas.
Generally these symptoms can be effectively managed conservatively with
* analgesics medicines and pain killer gels
* intermittent cervical traction
* Use of cervical collar
* Ocassional muscle relaxants
* Use of neurotropic vitamins (especially Vit B12 supplementations)
