Retinal Hole In Right Eye. Breast Cancer Used Tamoxofen. Reason?

After breast cancer i was on tamoxofen for 5 years. more than half way through the medication i developem Retinal Hole in my right eye. I am now legally blind in my right eye, there is no history in my family and I was in my 40'ties when this occur. The optholomogists we suprised at my diagnosis for my age I believe this was caused from the tamoxophen. No one will listen to me

Dear Ma'am,

Sorry to hear about your condition. Tamoxifen is associated with cataract formation but a retinal problems are not a documented complication of tamoxifen. It is important you continue tamoxifen or switch to an aromatase inhibitor as these drugs help in reducing the chances of breast cancer recurring.
