Rib Injury. Fluid At The Base Of Lung. Why Does It Pain Still?

I am 60 yrs old ,5 10 ,180lbs.About 2 weeks ago i fell and hit the right side of my rib cage.The xrays showed no fractures ,the most recent one showed very small amount of fluid at the base of my right lung .I have pain getting in and out of bed,turning in bed ,bending over,coughing,deep breathing .At times i have stabbing sharp pains even at rest that last for hours ,but mostly its with any kind of movements

it's important to find out why you have fluid at the base of your lung. this may not be because of your injury but for some other reason. rib fractures usually heal and cease to be painful around 4-6 weeksz.
