Ribs Pain, No Fracture, Scarring On Left Lung, Stressed. What Can Be Done?
in an x ray test results of my husband's left side regarding a hit to the ribs(luckily there was no fracture) the radiologist added a comment: scarring on the middle peripheral lobe on left lung (I'am not sure if I spelled it right or if it makes any sense at all) and also, no disease something something... what does this means?. Should he go for further tests? He is also a heavy smoker, poor diet, under a lot of stress and he just turned 45...thx for making time our of your already busy schedule to answer to our questions

Hi. It would be helpful if I could see the full report, but scarring usually refers to either an old infection or to an area of emphysema and fibrosis, but nothing so serious as cancer, if that were your concern here. For completeness' sake, though, he should have an MRI of the chest to take a better look at that area
