Right Side Collar Bone, Neck And Chest Pain, Cough, Have Quit Smoking. What Could The Cause Be?

I have had right side collar bone, neck (behind my ear), and right side chest pain . Went to physio and they said I have pulled neck muscles. Went to chiropractor & he said I have a cracked rib. I ve been googling My symptoms & feel it could be a rib issue. Not sure. I have a cough as well...I assumed It was from quitting smoking a month ago...but although the cough has slowed down, it s still There and hurts my ribs to cough. Any thoughts?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Persistent coughing can result in chest pain due to inflammation of the muscles and may also be associated with inflammation of the lining of the lung (called pleuritis).

Pleuritis can be worse on coughing, laughing or taking a deep breath. This is possible cause of your pain.

Whether the pain is related to pleuritis or the other possibilities of cracked rib or muscle injury, the treatment would involve the use of anti inflammatory pain killers and cough suppressant.

Pain killers such as one of the following ibuprofen/naproxen/cataflam/aspirin.

I hope this helps
