Ringing In Ears, Hearing Loss. History Of Intake Of Amoxicillin For Perforated Ear Drum, Drainage In Ear, Partial Hearing Loss, Ringing. Opinion?
I suffered a perforated ear drum last Wednesday night, with drainage, some hearing loss, and ringing in that ear. Started amoxicillin and also have a nasal spray at night. However, this morning woke up and both ears are ringing, with hearing loss. It sounds like a freight train in my head. And, I have a two week vacation with a five hour flight to Scotland this Saturday. What's happening, and what do I do? YYYY@YYYY
I have gone through your query regarding hearing loss, ringing in ear and drainage after perforation of ear drum.
Your all above problems are due to perforation of ear drum and this will take about two to three weaks to heal. In the meantime you are advice to take -
(a) Antibiotics.
(b) Anti inflammatory.
(c) Antihistaminics and Decongestant.
(d) Steam inhalation.
I hope above treatment will help you, but unfortunately if your problem persists than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary for tharough examination and treatment to avoid further complication.
Regards.
