Rough, Red, Itchy Lips After Sun-bathing, Able To Scratch Off Some Rough Areas. Remedy For Normal Lips?

Hello, I was sun-bathing about a month ago. I protect myself from the sun and always wear chapstick. However, this one day made my lips very rough, not chapped but rough. And when foods touch my lips, they get a little red and very itchy. I can't even wear red lipstick anymore becuase of this condition. Sometimes, when my lips do not hurt, I can scratch off some of the rough areas, its really weird. I don't know what to use to make them go back to normal. Any answers?

Welcome to HCM.You are susceptible to solar dermatitis,your lips are probably symptomatic due to the exposure to sunlight.This actinic keratoses of the lips will resolve spontaneously,you need to avoid sunlight exposure of the face and lips,use of sunscreen lotions,protective clothing and local steroids may help.
