Scan Shows Small Ovaries. Is This A Sign Of Infertility?
hello doctor, i am a 30 years old and just married. recently i found that my ovaries are small after the scan and checked. it is smaller than the normal size and i really concerned as i am wanting to have a baby soon. but firstly, i wish to know that my periods started on 23th september 2012 and ended on 27th september. i did my check up on 5th october 2012. so is roughly around 11-13 days after my period (27th september) and result found that my ovaries are small. can please provide some advice and whether this is a sign of infertility? thanks

Small ovaries on ultrasound are not sign of infertility, but they indicate that your capacity to make eggs might exhaust earlier than normally expected. You can just counter-check the capacity by doing AMH(Blood test). Anyway, for faster conception you should consult some infertility specialist who would assist you in this matter.
