Semen Test Done. What Does Result Mean?

Dear Sir

I have taken semen test last two days before i have received below mentioned result, Please advise about this result.

Viscosity - Highly Viscous
Volume 2.5 Ml
Liquefaction - More then 120 Min
Reaction Alkaline
Colour : Whitish
Microscopic Examination
Sperm Count : 49 Million / Ml
Actively Motile 40 %
sluggishly Motile : 25%
Non - Motile 35%
Abnormal Forms : 35%
Pus Cells 1-2 / HPF
Red Blood Cells : Absent
Spermatogenic 1-2 / HPF
Sperm Agglutination Absent

Hi and thanks for the query,
The results presented are generally good. However, the main concern is at the level of the abnormal forms of spermatozoa. Up to 35% of these being abnormal deserves a keen attention and management. This in no way, concerning the other parameters seen actually means you cannot get a female pregnant. It however reduces the chances. With specific drugs, based on certain clinical findings for about three months, remarkable improvements in the picture of the semen content and quality shall for sure be obtained. I suggest you consult your doctor for further management. I suggest much compliance to the doctor s treatment plan.
