Severe Abdominal Pains, Itchy Feet And Palms, Rashes All Over Body After Taking Double Dose Of Metamucil. How To Cure?

I WAS TAKING METAMUCIL FOR APPROX. 2 MOS. WE WERE ON HOLIDAYS FOR 6 DAYS, I DID NOT TAKE IT FOR 6 DAYS, WHEN WE GOT HOME I TOOK 2 TBSP. IN 1 CUP OF WATER, TWICE A DAY, THINKING THIS WAS THE THING TO DO, THE THIRD DAY I HAD TERRIBLE ABDOMINAL PAINS LASTING 1.5 DAYS, THE NEXT MORNING WOKE UP TO TERRIBLE ITCHY FEET(UNDER) AND PALMS OF MY HANDS. LATER THAT MORNING HAD A TERRIBLE RASH ALL OVER MY BODY, I TOOK A CHOLOROTRIPLON, THE RASH WENT AWAY. HOWEVER I VOMITED AFEW TIMES AND ALSO FELT NAUSEATED. THIS IS GOING ON TWO WEEKS OF ,OFF AND ON VOMITING AND FEELING NAUSEATED. TODAY WAS FIRST DAY OF FEELING GOOD,IS THIS NORMAL?

Every drug is associated with potential side effects, these are effects that may or may not occur.

The dose that you would have used was higher than the recommended dose and this would increase the risk of side effects. Normally it is used 1 to 2 tsp, 1 to 3 times a day.
The 2 tbs that you used would have been equivalent to 6 tsp.

Nausea, allergic rash, vomiting are possible complications of this medications but as mentioned the increased strength increased the risk of occurrence.
