Hi ! Good morning and a Happy New Year 2014. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Many a times cramps are associated with the starting of periods, which gradually subsides with the cessation of the bleeding. The movement feeling in your stomach could be due to excessive peristalsis in your intestines, which could be either due to the hormonal effect or due to any kind of food poisoning if you ate anything outside which apparently not fresh. In that case you might have to take some antibiotics on consultation with your family physician. Premenstrual pain usually does not need any medication excepting for an anti spasmodic if need be, as it is a self limiting condition. In case you are sexually active, then I would suggest you to go for a serum HCG estimation as well.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in planning your treatment. Thanks for using the health care magic forum for your query on health. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
