Severe Fatigue, Nausea, Muscle Spasms, Lower Limb Abnormalities. Done MRI. What Is The Reason?
Just recently I had a second MRI with no changes to several small brain lesions, though one tiny has appeared elsewhere. The neurologist still ruled out MS however he did warn me if I do have any flare ups, like blindness, feel like I can't walk etc to contact him immediately. The past few weeks I have had severe fatigue, nausea and now getting leg muscle spasms, a few times in the back could this be a flare and should I let the neurologist know? I'm a 44 female and the past twelve months have had ongoing health issues. My rheumatologist has put it down to chronic fatigue syndrome. My VER was good however lower limb abnormalities in the arm. These spasms are occurring constantly and at any time of the day and night and coincide with the fatigue.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The symptoms that you have described can be due to multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia. You can start taking oral muscle relaxants in addition to the pain killers for relief. Doing a hot fomentation will also be helpful. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
