Severe Left Sided Pain, Pain On Bending Over, Lying Down, Sitting, Chest Pain, Pain Moving To Right Side. Treatment For UTI?

I ve been having sever pain in my left side, and was diagnosed with a UTI . However, the pain got 10 times worse. It hurts to bend over, lay down, and even sit a certain way. Sometimes it feels like tiny needles are stabbing my sides. It feels like someone is stabbing me over and over, and it feels wet, all the time. Now I m having sever chest pain , and the side pain has moves on to the right side. All my tests came back negative. Should I go to the ER, or wait it out until Tuesday, when I go to the Dr?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have severe pain on left side (Renal Colic)with UTI.

Most likely this is due to presence of stone either in kidney or Ureter which can be confirmed only on ultrasound scanning of abdomen.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done .
1)Routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen to rule out presence of stone either in kidney or Ureter,

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with anti spasmodic like Spasmo Proxyvon twice daily.and urine alkaliser thrice daily.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water .

If you have sever unbearable pain go to Er to get necessary treatment
