Severe Pain After Falling On Tailbone. Reason For Experiencing Lightning Bolt In Vision?

I fell on my tail bone about one month ago and the pain was instant and took my breath away. The pain has been getting worse. I also noticed almost immediately after the fall a consistent lightning bolt in my line of vision. It was there for about 15mins before it went away. I'm wondering if I need to see a doctor and what would cause a change in my vision after the fall. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

I see no co relation between the fall on tail bone and flashes of light in vision. Flashes of light in vision is due to migraine, floaters in eye and could also be due to serious conditions like detached retina. Please get an eye doctor consultation. If you are above 40 years old, then you need regular followups with your eye doctor to get screened for eye disorders as they get more common after 40 years.
Thanks.
