Severe Pain During The Periods. Taking Pain Killers. Treatment?

I have a regular period, everyone second one I feel like dying. The pain is unbareable. I run on a regular basis, drink lots of water, avoid alcohol, take pain killers (mainly naproxen) get lots of sleep, hot baths, hot water bottle on my abdomen, each time it's like this. It is to the point my husband wants to take me to the hospital, I can't even laugh, cough, sneeze etc without pain, driving in the car and hittin the tiniest bump I feel like screaming or crying. As I said it only happens every second month, and it gets worse each time. Any ideas of why? Or ways to even easy the pain a little bit?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You are having Dysmenorrhoea, because your pain is so severe you should consult a gynaecologist for ultrasonography and blood test to rule out causes and treatment because your pain is so severe.
You can use oral contraceptive pills along with pain killers.
Good luck.
Take care.
