Severe Pain In Knees Due To Osteoarthritis. How To Obtain A Referral For Physiotherapy?
I seriously need a referral to a physiotherapy place. I have excruciating pain in my left knee. I have been diagosted with 2 places with osteoarthritis. My right knee gives me less pain, sometimes, intermittent pain, but not too terrible; it has a torn miniscus. I have had both knees MRIed at St. Mary's and have also had sanding xrays through the orthopedic surgeon. He doesn't want to operate on that knee (guess it need to be operated on) but I have to see someone about this pain in the left knee. I almost on a few occasions recently went to a hospital emergency to beg them for something like maybe an injection of cortisone or whatever else they can do. I'm 76 and have been in this terrible condition for 2 years due a certain movement in Tai Chi I used to line dance as well for approximately 10 years and also did a lot of volunteering. Now I can't do anything and I'm starting to get depressed. So hard to walk. Otherwise, I'm in pretty good shape. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. Can you help me.
