Severe Pain In Lower Legs, No Relief With Fir RLS, Relief With Leg Massage, Hot Bath. Problem?
My lower legs (from the knee down) have severe pain 5-7 times a month. It almost feels like I have been running and are cramping. I have taken meds fir RLS and it gives no relief. The only thing that eases the pain is to stack 5-6 pillows and put my legs on them or a hot bath and massaging my legs with hard pressure. What could the problem be? My dr is at a loss.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Since , you have not mentioned the age and sex , as these two are very important for diagnosis. Leg cramps may be due to deficiency of Vitamin "E" ( tocopherol). 2nd reason may be due to depletion of sodium ( may be due to loss of potassium). 3rd reason may be deficiency of calcium ( as bone pain may simulate as muscular pain). One more reason may be due to Hyper tension or diabetes. Exertion play an important role in pain. Consult a physician and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
