Severe Pain In Neck For The Child. Tested For Meningitis Negative. How Long Will These Swollen Glands Cause Neck Spasms?

Hi my daughter is 3 and a half and has severe pain in her neck caused by a gland.we were at the hospital yesterday she was tested for meningitis was results were negative.doctor's conclusion was its swollen gland causing neck spasms.they gave her painkillers and we were sent home.I just want to have your opinion and would like to know how long these spasms last for.she slept well last night but this morning she can't move her neck again.

Thank for choosing HCM,
First of all this not a spasm this is restricted movement of neck due to the swelling of neck gland, and surrounding area which must be indurated, and forming the pus inside ( solitary lymph node bacterial infection) still you will have to sent the pus for histopathological examination, if it is formed, never start the antibiotic on this stage if clinical proved induration for pus formation, otherwise it will turn into the antibioma, it will take at least week for complete abscess, take care of her, have good day.
