Hello doctor, I am male 42 yrs. I had a severe neck and right shoulder pain couple of days before and also some pain on the right hand upper muscle. I had been to doctor and given medications , the pain has come down 75% but i am unable to lift my hand fully. I can work with the hand when it is down but unable to lift. pls give me advice.
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
From your history it seems that you have got some degenerative changes in your shoulder joints and cervical spines.
It is more likely having periartheritis of right shoulder joint causing frozen shoulder.
there is possibility of having Cervical spondilitis as well.
Go for X-ray right shoulder and cervical spines which will give some clue about your problem.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Ok and bye.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
Although it isn't possible to diagnose your condition without an examination and a few tests, your history is suggestive of Adhesive capsulitis(Frozen shoulder) or Calcific tendonitis.
These conditions are easily managed by regular physiotherapy ( Range of motion exercices, stretching and strengthening exercises). Over-the-counter pain relievers, such as aspirin and ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), can help reduce pain and inflammation associated with this condition.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician nearby for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Your doctor after diagnosing the condition might refer to you a physical therapist.A physical therapist can teach you stretching exercises to help maintain as much mobility in your shoulder as possible
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful

Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
It is probably peri-arthritis of the shoulder and/or cervical spondylosis.
X-rays/ scan of the joint may be necessary.
Physiotherapy may help a lot
At times, intra-articular injection may be necessary
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
