Hello and welcome to Health care Magic.
Bleeding after intercourse is called post-coital bleeding.
The cause for post-coital bleeding needs to be sought out.
Most common causes are as follows:
1. Cervical dysplasia- Pre-neoplastic and neoplastic condition of the cervix
2. Infections of the genital tract- trichomonas, chlamydia, fungal infection
3. Cervical and uterine polyps-
4. Fibroids in uterus- Benign growth of the
myometrium. muscle of the uterus
5.
Endometriosis and adenomyosis- Endometrial glands at abnormal positions
Out of all these causes the first- cervical dysplasia is of maximum concern.
A Pap test can be carried out to rule it out.
Visit your gynaecologist for clinical examination, appropriate investigation and management.
Thanks and take care
