Sharp Pain Under Rib Cage On Upper Right Side. What Could This Be?

I have a sharp pain under my rib cage on my upper right side that spreads about 3 fingers across. The pain then travel down to the mid section of my stomach. It comes and goes and it has been one day now. Hurts when I lay flat as well. What could this be?

as according to me after your history reading i have come to conclusion of differentiating between acidity or cervical spondylosis
as there arenerve sharing in chest muscle skin abdomen area skin and cervical nerves so these symptomps can be interrelated so need to investigate in this direction to diagnose and treat
