Shock And Burning Sensation In The Wrist After A Blood Draw. How To Make It Stop?

Shock sensation down forearm after inserting needle to draw blood . I had blood drawn 2 days ago and when the needle was inserted I felt a shocklike, burning sensation, down my arm towards my wrist . Where the blood was drawn doesn t hurt, but now I m still getting these shocklike burning sensations down my forearm when I move my arm in certain postions. What is causing this pain? What can I do to make it stop?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that you might be having thrombophlebitis, an infection in the vein.
Go for antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine.
Apply Thrombophob cream on affected part.
Ok and bye.
