Should I Be Concerned For Small Amount Of Bleeding During Pregnancy With HCG Level Of 68?

Hello, I am 5 weeks pregnant. had a small amt of bleeding last wed and Friday. I had an hcg level drawn Friday and it was 64, today the draw was 68. I haven't had any further bleeding but am concerned. Should I ask about a progesterone test? I go on wed for another hcg draw.

Hi,
In the current scenario, you should get serial serum beta-hCG titres coupled with trans-vaginal sonograms to assess the progress of your pregnancy. Doubling titres of hCG every 2-3 days suggest good outcome. Meanwhile, take absolute bed rest, avoid all stressful activities including sexual intercourse. Have adequate liquids and maintain a healthy diet. Please contact your consultant for further management. Hope this helps.
