Should I Be Worried About A Bumpy Spot On My Head That Is Tender?

Hi, January 2013 I fell off a snowmobile and hit my head pretty hard on the ground and my head had swelled up pretty badly. Now, over a year later, the spot that I hit my head still has a bump and tingle every time I touch it. Also, if I ever accidentally hit it, even lightly, it hurts pretty bad. Is there something I should be worried about?

Nephrologist 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for the query

Trauma anywhere in the body leads to damage and exposure of the nerve endings which sometimes causes prolonged parasthetias ( tingling sensation), there is no specific treatment for it expect botox injections over the tender area. There is nothing to be worried about
If the pain becomes unbearable I advice you to approach a neurologist for Tab Amitryptylline 10 mg at the night, it helps bring down the pain

I hope I was of help

Regards
