Should I Be Worried For Feeling Slight Acid In Upper Part Of Stomach When Drinking Water?

hi, am a 51y man, i had an car accident 12 hours ago, i went to the emergency room the doctor ask if I feel any pain, if fact I was not on pain, he ask me to do a chest x ray, and he examined me and said your ok , but now when I drink water I feel like slight acid in the upper part of my stomach, is it some think I should worry a bout?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

Its acute gastritis...its normal to have it following a stress like accident...take a ppi for a week and it will resolve...reduce stress.
