Should I Be Worried Or Losing Weight And Frequent Urination?
i have been on a diet since the turn of the year and have lost nearly 1 stone, as well as a balanced diet i have been exercising well to, i am 43 and i have been drinking water 8 cups roughly a day and have found that i have been waking up at least 2 times a week at night to pass urine, should i be worried or is this normal
Hello and thank you for your question. It is concerning that you are waking up needing to urinate. You need to have your doctor check your urine for infection and check your blood for glucose. If you are becoming diabetic it could explain the increased urination. Also try not drinking water within 3 hours of going to bed and making sure you urinate just before you go to bed at night. Regards, Dr. Robinson
